The climate in Cabarete is hot, windy, and partly cloudy. The temperature typically varies from 69°F to 89°F. 

Breaking News: The effects of Hurricane Fiona in Cabarete?

This past September 19th has been quite a scary day for Cabarete. Hurricane Fiona entered the Northern Coast of the island at around 3 pm, hitting the Samaná Peninsula. After causing serial damage to Puerto Rico, Fiona made it to the Eastern side of the Dominican Republic early on Monday, with its center reaching the northern coast of Hispaniola.

The first hurricane to score a direct hit on the Dominican Republic since Jeanne in September 2004, Fiona caused severe floods, cutting off villages, forcing about 12,500 from their homes and leaving many without power.


We are all good in Cabarete, and hope everyone else is, too. Damages have been limited, to trees falling down, and lack of power for the day.
